Attorney Mark Mayer

Attorney Mark Mayer was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, but moved to El Campo, Texas early enough to not have picked up any non-Texas bad habits.  By El Campo High School, he expected to one day be an attorney and be in Court.  With that in mind, Mark attended the University of Texas with a degree in business communications.  To get work experience before law school, he worked as a software installation consultant, teaching car dealership personnel how to customize and use their new computer systems.

After three years, he enrolled at the University of Houston Law  Center to pursue his ambition of being a civil attorney.  Mark’s point of view for litigation is to be an advocate and partner to his client’s in finding solutions to disputes and controversies in the most efficient, cost-effective, and results oriented manner.

He has been practicing civil litigation since graduating law school in 1999 and had such broad experiences by changing primary types of litigation cases about every 3 years, where he has managed personal injury cases, securities fraud litigation, arbitration of contract disputes, condemnation,  trust and estate litigation, among many other areas of the law.

Mark is married to Katie and has three teenage boys at home.   Mark is involved in his sons’ Boy Scout Troop and their ministry groups at Church.  Mark is also an Assistant Director of American Legion Boy’s State where he says he gets to help teach the future leaders of Texas how to be more involved in their community and be active and knowledgeable about our democratic political system.
