Attorney Carson Epes Steinbauer grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and graduated from Hollins College with honors, receiving a degree in political science. Raised by her parents along with 3 her sisters, she remembers fondly her father telling her at a young age that she could accomplish anything in life. With that tenacity, she obtained her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, and began her career as a trial attorney at the Bexar County Criminal District Attorneys’ Office.
Carson’s biggest passion in life is helping others in times of turmoil. Divorce can be both emotionally and financially devastating, and is a life event that can have a lasting impact not just on a spouse, but on children as well. Carson is extremely skilled in the Courtroom, given her training as an assistant criminal district attorney. She has been practicing family law for 20 years and has gone up against the most seasoned family law attorneys in the State of Texas in cases involving custody as well as multi-million dollar estates. Additionally, Carson is collaboratively trained, to help spouses stay out of the courtroom when desired in order to settle their family matter.
Carson is married to Joe Steinbauer, and they enjoy time together outside of work and delight in raising their two small children, Christopher and Ella. When not in the office, Carson loves to travel and visit family; cook and entertain; hike and spend time outdoors; play with photography; snow ski in the winter and relax on the beach in the summer.
